We definately got bit by the summer bug -- and headed out on the boat as a little father day's gift to Stephen. He has been delivering in Ogdensburg & has been watching the river sparkle all day long. Several times he has come home and said, 'wow that river looked good today'. It takes a lot of courage to take on 'the big river', but I guess we were all a little stir crazy. It was a gorgeous day. We put in at the city launch, and motored up to the Carlisle 'camp'. We met up with Bob & his friend & her son. His name was Jacob too - and the two took to each other like peas in a pod. I think they could have played together all day long. That wasn't on the schedule though. They took off to do some water skiing and castle hopping. We opted for a more quiet venue at the Jacques Cartier park. We cooked chicken on a stick (one of Stephen's favorite), Jacob swam on the beach (or I mean threw sand on the beach), and we had the whole place to our selves. Not sure if it is gas prices scaring people away, or maybe a little early in the season to be out and about. We thought it was a lovely afternoon. Jacob fell esleep in his little chair on the boat ride back to the launch. I shaded him from the hot sun with his little umbrella, so cute! We stopped to say hi to Aunt Linda & Uncle Carl Cutway before heading for home. Pictures taken 6/16/07
